Dr. Karin Tanja-Dijkstra

karinKarin Tanja-Dijkstra (PhD 2009, University of Twente) was a research fellow at Plymouth University from 2011 to 2015, where she studied the use of virtual reality techniques to help people distract themselves from painful medical procedures.

Karin’s research combines insights from cognitive, social, clinical, and environmental psychology. Her methodological tool kit ranges from lab-based experimental studies to randomised controlled clinical trials in field settings. Karin also has experience with systematic reviews and meta analysis.
